More than ten years ago, I began developing Preference Lab as part of my academic research. My goal was to test and explore new and better ways to measure consumer preferences—especially through choice experiments and other adaptive designs. What started as a set of scripts for running controlled studies has steadily grown into a fully functional platform.
Over the years, I’ve used Preference Lab in my own research and made it available to students and interested colleagues. More than 1,000 beta testers have since contributed feedback, helping to improve usability, and ensure the system performs reliably across a range of study designs.
